I recently entered the annual Sheffield Philosophy Essay Prize competition, and I am happy to say that I won first prize! When you are learning to code, you are often encouraged to make a program that will say, “Hello World”. You faff around with the technical bits, you wrestle with the nitty-gritty, you press a button, and the screen glows with its predetermined message. It’s not much, but it is always a moment of potential, possibilities- the only way from here is forwards. So consider this shambles of a blog post just that. Hello world!
